Dr. Joanne C. Preston, PhD, RODC, is an internationally recognized management consultant specializing in creating change across large, complex systems. She provides viable solutions and management development breakthroughs to family businesses, major corporations, and countries that focus on measurable outcomes and results.
 
Her industrial clients have included IBM, Arthur Anderson & Company, Monsanto, Philip Morris, Wendy’s, Esmark, Bank of America, Tencent, Alibaba, Li-Ning, 360, and many others, all of whom engaged Joanne for her ability to bring about positive change and direction. She has demonstrated her ability to resolve complex business issues in clear, actionable ways that empower her client’s organizations to embrace and accept needed change. She frequently involves executives in open systems planning and trans-organization development at the organizational and national levels to include strategic change and culture change.

She enjoys a multinational involvement and has worked with companies and governments in Japan, China, Korea, Thailand, Mexico, Argentina, Ireland, England, Spain, Germany, Poland, Russia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, South Africa, and the UAE. Joanne has worked at high community levels with President Carter and his Atlanta Project, as well as consulting with Lech Walesa and Nelson Mandela during their presidencies, including personal coaching to develop strategies that greatly impacted the acceptance of Solidarity in Poland and South Africa.

She was recognized in 1994 as the Outstanding Organizational Development Consultant of the Year by the Organizational Development Institute for her work in Global Change. She has a chapter on her career in the Great Leaders in OD. Joanne has been the Editor of the Organizational Development Journal for over 21 years and is President of the ISODC. She has been listed every year since 1997 in the Who’s Who of International Professionals and was awarded the 2021 Distinguished Scholar-Practitioner Lifetime Award by AOM and the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award by OD Network.
